Nuevos materiales en llantas.

Están hechas en South Carolina , USA .

Se puede ver a través de ellas.
Un radicalmente nuevo diseño de Michelin.
La nueva generación en llantas.
Hay unas en la exhibición de autos de Philadelphia.

Sí, éstas son las conexiones como rayos que van desde la parte interior hasta la parte exterior de la llanta.
La siguiente foto muestra como se ven en movimiento.



Esta foto hace que te preguntes cómo se sentirá el viaje, ¿no?








Estas llantas no llevan aire y están programadas para salir al mercado muy pronto.
Las malas nuevas para la policía es que sus cintas de clavos no funcionarán en estas llantas.
Sólo piensa en el impacto que tendrán en la tecnología actual:

A. No más válvulas de aire
B. No más compresores de aire en las gasolineras.
C.- No más estuches de reparación
D.- No más mini compresores en los maleteros de los carros.
E.- No más ponchaduras.

Estas fotos fueron tomadas en la planta de Michelin de South Carolina.

i remeber seeing this a few months, back,if i remeber correctly it was being tested at TireRack.com facilities. very intresting. seems cool... but fugly IMO

very fugly indeed.. How do the expect you to put these on a pair or 20's?

Not sure why I thought of this, but Michelin, maybe about 5-7 years ago, was test marketing tires in different colors (i.e. blue, brown and red).

Anyone know what became of that test program?

The ridiculous show "Pimp my Ride" on MTV put red tires on like an old Chevelle. They didnt really LOOK red, if i remember right, but when they did a burnout, the cloud of smoke was red. So i imagine colored tires are out there somewhere!

Those pics have been in the internet for years.

Always wondered how they'd do when snow or mud gets packed inside - balance would be all over the place.

good point. also i couldnt imagine cleaning them either
