Default Side mirrors unfold automatically at start

When I take my car to the dealer for maintenance they always park it for me with the side mirrors folded in and when I start the car it automatically unfolds for me. Is there a way to let it do that every time?

My car does not do it. I have a 2007 GS450h. The few times that I had used the power fold feature, I had to push the button again to unfold the mirrors. Putting car in reverse did not result in them unfolding automatically.

I have an 07. Modeler is not really an automatic thing..I also have to push the button to fold/unfold. The mechanics do something before returning the car to me so that it will unfold when I start the car.

Guys, I think the mirrors will unfold automatically back to the "open" position if they were folded away manually using your hands to fold them back....that is the special something they do LOL....By the way, if someone ever figures out a way to auto fold with ignition on and off, in a few months these stupid things will be breaking down for sure....at about 650-800 a mirror, just leave them the hell alone LOL

haha....If that is the case I never folded them manually using my hands because of the push button option. I had a cousin actually unfolded the mirrors by hand and told me "Hey man whats wrong with your mirrors they are so stiff" and I pissed at him for a couple days. EyeKutr, I still fold/unfold my mirrors every time anyways so I guess you can say im breaking my mirrors down manually.

I don't think manually will do much damage, just the motor/gear is more easily wear out... plastic gears.

Auto unfold will be nice but I don't think our GS has that feature... I fold my mirrors (push the button) when park in my garage due to limited space.
