actually, I believe the 2006 GS300 had the inline 3.0L 6 cyl. The V6 3.5L didn't start until 2007 in the GS350.

incorrect. 2006 gs300 have the 3.0 L 3GR-FSE V6, no longer i6

I have owned an 06' model WITH ML, it did not play mp3's.
