nice man, reminds me of the lexon roof spoiler, did you start with a roof spoiler and modded it or was it home scratched?

Total cost im guessing was about i dunno.. a grip. probably around 3-4 hundred. but most of it was from buying crap in search of a workable core. my plan was to shape with something like styrofoam, balsam wood, insta-foam, then fiber glass over it.. none of that worked. trust me ive tried. finally out of frustration i ended up masking off the back half of the car and just fiber glassing the back window.. all that gave me was a flat 1/8 thick contour of the rear window. just getting that far took about 2 -3 weeks. not because it was hard or anything. but because i just didnt know how, what, or where to start. google couldnt even help me. try googling "make your own roof spoiler" or even just "spoiler." hardly any useful information. and ive never fiber glassed before. so about a hundred bucks in fiber glass experimental. to add to that, ive never even seen a 3gs roof spoiler in person. all i had a couple pics of the roof spoilers on CL. so to answer your questions

aristo2369- probably cost me around $3-$400. now that i know how to do it. about $150 in materials.

itschris- completely from scratch. all youll find inside is wood chips i used for the sides. it does kinda look like the lexon, i think im going to round off the sides a little. i want it to be OG
