Default Vaistech SL2VU in 06 GS300

Recently had Vaistech universal adapter and dvd player installed in my GS300 (no nav/no ML) and was hoping for help with a mod that would allow DVD to play in motion. Went through entire NAV mod thread and couldnt find info pertaining to this aftermarket adapter. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

if you want to go the cheaper route, cutting wire is definitely the easiest. otherwise the override kit from ps is what most here have. can email chung@prestigioussociety.com for more info

Doesn't matter on the specific adapter, you do the same thing. Cut the speed wire and ground the parking wire. That's what I did with the Vaistech SL2Vi which would be the same process as the SL2Vu or any other video in motion input.

You still need to ground the parking brake wire if you have no nav. It will sense that your parking brake is not engaged in DVD mode. I've tried just snipping one wire and it wouldn't work, had to ground it the parking brake also.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ds-thread.html

it gives you a lot of info especially on wire cutting.

for override kit, it allows you to watch video and also access whole navigation when driving. i have ps kits, so do some others here. you can email chung@prestigioussociety.com

If you use the over ride kit, can you use your screen to dial a phone # while driving? I do not have the ML or nav but do have the premium radio which includes the touchscreen for bluetooth phone, climate, radio , trip info etc. Since I am under CPO warranty, I am fearful of cutting wires.
