I am going to get it checked out this week hoping maybe something wasn't installed right. One thing i must say it sounds good as hell on my ML System...

Where does the Isimple brain install? I have a 07 sat ready gs350 with sharkfin. It is truck mounted or do you have to remove the nav unit?

I'm pretty sure it was like the Vais Tech where the nav unit needs to move so you can get to the back!

I was guessing that, however, some are claiming a 10 minute install. I've done the Vais install and I guess I could have done it in 10 minutes, but it's more like a 1 hour install if you are being carefull.

also,

I want to use the iSimple gateway for Sirius. I have a GS350 with the Sharkfin and AM-SAT button. Do I need the Sat receiver as well as the iSimple or does the car already have the Sat Receiver built in?

Basically, what all do I need?

Thanks!

Yes you need to purchase the additional add-on for the Sat, but can't you do the same with the Vais Tech by adding another addition to use it with!

Batman,

I have two of these kits installed in my two GS350s. Both kits were bought from TSS Radio, and installed by Audio Express in Arizona.

The kit contains Sirius satellite box, iPod interface/charger cord, and a gateway box (including all harnesses.) Each costs $229 with free shipping.

Once installed, you'll have normal iPod music functions (play, stop, fwd, back, random shuffle) as well as up to 10 character display (for 2006) and up to 20 characters (for 2007 onward) on your nav-equipped Lexus. Similar display feature for the Sirius box, and you can store up to 18 preset stations.

Your Lexus must have the AM/SAT button on your Nav unit for direct interface.

Now, I have my full iPod music library as well as Sirius whenever I'm on the road!

Good luck!

Is the wire in the glove box or inside the armrest compartment?

Did they insulate the box to make sure there are no rattles?

Please see my response to Batman as well. Your shark fin antenna is for your AM/FM reception only. The iSimple kit will have a separate Sirius antenna, which needs to be placed somewhere in/on the car. I have mine placed inside the back window, below the third stop light.

I thought that antenna was made for the sat use and the antenna was in the back glass!

correct, normal am/fm antenna are both on the rear windshield.

the shark fin is for xm (from factory) technically, nothing else. otherwise those 06 without shark fin they are in big trouble
