You can track your car by cellphone, GM's Onstar, BMW's Assist and Mercedes TeleAid or what ever. The police still need to have a reciever that can track those singals.

haha the whole idea of tracker is to be "hidden" and not printed all over the car saying it has a tracker though a good thief when they know there is a tracker, they will happily cut that out before taking the car

depends on what they are using the car for. if they ship it over seas then yes. if they strip it, i doubt they will even go through the hassel. 9 times out of 10 the car is already stripped and left abandoned by the time its reported stolen.

my friend had lojack and when his car got stolen he called them to get the info for the police and lojack told him his car is on 101 south { do you know how far 101 south goes from norcal to socal and beyond ** the very next day they find the car in sacramento which is not even close to the 101

It's very hard to find the tracker if it is well installed. In my car you would have to strip the car before you got the tracker. No way you would get it with the tools you would have at point of theft.
