Thanks, was wishing for something like this for a while! No digital audio is a little bummer. So I can use this one on my es350 with gps (no ML)? Wow!

Does anyone know if this method can be applied with a Motorola Droid X? My Droid has HMDI output and voice turn by turn navigation with traffic update. Is there a possible way to use the HDMI output to video input feed on the non-nav GS350? Or another method similar?

You can get the universal one (Vaistech SL2Vu or Nav-TV) and get some sort of HDMI to composite video converter box. A bit of a hassle though. And without an iPod/iPhone connector, you don't get any type of steering wheel of screen controls. Probably much easier, better and cheaper to just get an iPhone 4 instead.

you'll need some type of video out source for your phone

Only the voices marked with (Computer) will say the street names for you under settings. The rest of the voices only say generic turn left/right etc. And make sure your volume it scrolled up in the bottom left.

i don't even get the simple instructions like left/right. the volume slider is up. check. mute button off. check. volume level is at highest setting. check. i noticed the bottom left corner shows a small speaker with a line through it. i repeatedly hit "enable sounds" but still nada. maybe i just need to do a fresh install again.

Did a fresh reinstall and audio works now. But I still can't get video from my iPhone out to the screen. I have a 3GS running ios4.0 with the app TVOutTuner. I just tried Screenspliter and it also doesn't work.
