Default Bluetooth Music Streaming?

I noticed that Lexus has included the ability to stream music via bluetooth in the 2010 GS.

I would love this feature in my '07 GS350. With bluetooth capability already there, it seems like it would be possible to modify it to accept music, no? Anyone know of a way to do this?

The ability to control and play music stored on a bluetooth device (eg. mobile phone) through your GS touch screen. Kinda like an iPod or USB adapter, but wireless.

I do not believe that's true. You would not be able to control on the screen. A2DP is just that, streaming the music, I believe. You'd still need to initiate via the phone.

True, A2DP is just a playback, but usually such devices especialy car, should come with AVRCP - remote control profile as well...

Here's a link to a Bluetooth Cassette Adapter that may work for you. I'm considering trying this on my 09 GS460 to see how it works.

As joyful as it would be to finally have a purpose for our ultra-lame cassette player (er ... I mean Logic Control Deck), this looks like it only handles phone calls.

Hmmm ... wonder if there is an adapter out there would let us use the deck as a toaster or something useful.

I would love to stream music through bluetooth instead of using the wire to my center console like I do now. I thought this tape adapter might be the answer....

I would like that too, but this adapter does not have BT stereo aka A2DP.

Here is a link to an adapter I'm considering: http://www.scosche.com/products/sfID...productID/1680

It's compatible with GS and should integrate with navigation and steering wheel controls.
They also have a custom wire harness that is just plug and play, but I'm not sure if this would work with ML.

I also don't know if we'd also have to use it for calls(would need to install their mic) or if we can just use it for music and keep factory interface for calls.

Newegg has it for $255(interface and harness) with free shipping.
