Default Hands free calls while in motion - is there a hack?

All,

First post on the forum, picked up an 06 430gs about two weeks ago and am still learning about the car. Managed to find some great posts on the Nav system and how to push my android contacts to hands free. Wanted to know though - has anyone figure out how to make calls while in motion.

Search has not my friend for this

Cheers,

John

Load frequent numbers in quick dial. While driving hit the button for phone and the person to call I believe is the only way.

That's how I use my hands free while driving as well.

Thanks! I haven't actually loaded quick dials yet. But it does pick up my cell when calls come through or if I dial so it works okay. Just not as modern as the new systems. Can't believe how this car handles. Glad to have made the purchase.

I'm very surprised no one has answered your question at all.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...tart-here.html

Check out the 3GS FAQ section.

Specifically this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ds-thread.html

Base GS – no Nav or Mark Levinson (ML) ----- all you can do is a wire modification to allow for the dial pad to be effective while in motion. In addition to BT bypass removal this also allows access all the folders and file listing on MP3 CDs (07+ gs, 06 did not play MP3 cds). Radio station "MSG" button is still not accessible. If you have NAV….you need to see below for your options. If you have no NAV but have ML (which is a rare combo) you can add the parking wire mod seen in GS with NAV and ML option and it will allow DVD video in motion.

That's if you have no nav or ML. If you do the directions are within that thread.

GL!
