Default shock question...

i don't know how to exactly explain the sound i am hearing but i am hearing a hiss/air sound from my driver side shock when i hit dips. i checked the shock for leaks there was nothing and also when i changed my springs a few months ago the shock was still tight.anyone knows it that's normal or what ?

Not sure, but if you hear a loud thud... your shocks are blown. lol

just because its not leaking doesnt mean it couldnt be blown. if it was blown you would feel the car bottom out. try pressing down on that corner and see how it rebounds.

if the shock was blown i would feel it in the ride also, doing 70 - 80 on the highway the car would bounce right? i am gonna take the car to the tech at lexus and have him take a look at it.

could be that when i hit the dip with the weight of the wheel then it makes a slight air noise, i will deff go to the dealer to check it out though.

did this just start happening recently? are you sure its not something rubbing on the tire? i know on a decent size dip, i get a slight rubbing noise.

maybe that could be it also but it sounds more like are hissing than a scrape. this been on for like a year. i remember back where i used to live the block had like slight waves in the street and also with my stocks on i was barley hearing it but on the 22s i hear it more obviously cause more weight.
