How to clear my "Low Tire Pressure" warning light.
I recently purchased a 2008 GS350...LOVE IT!
My "Low Tire Pressure" warning light turned on, so I added air according the owner manual's specs (33 psi). Now that AlL FOUR tires are properly pressurized, I would like to know how to clear the warning lights. Any advice?? |
If I remember, you just drive around for like 5 min, and it should go away on it's own..

Nothing. Just drive it and it will go away.

sometimes it might take a few miles of driving (or 10-15 mins) for the light to go away, though usually it should be pretty quick

did you try reinitializing the TPMS system. instructions are in the manual.
also check to make sure the Main/Set B switch didn't get accidentally set to the other position. That will cause the light to come on too. Happened to me when a friend shoved there backpack up inder the passenger dash. steviej |
Did you check your spare tire? I think it also has the sensor. Make sure it has the same pressure.

I do not think the compact spare has a sensor in it. At least mine doesn't and the ECU is not looking for a sensor signal from that wheel.

everytime my tire pressure light comes on i just put air in and the light turns off right when it hits the right psi... and i dont believe the GS has a tpms sensor in the spare, unless you have a full size spare....

I know for a fact that the LS has a sensor for the spare and according to my dealer service consultant the GS does also. I loose more air from the spare than the others since it is supposed to have 60 psi!!!
ls460 has full size spare and it has sensors (metal valve tube just like the other wheels) |
maybe you have a nail in a tire?
