my first maintenance
so yesterday i went to the auto parts store and purchased 5 quarts of conventional 5w-30 valvoline motor oil and a purolator brand cabin air filter.
this is my first oil change since buying the car with 36k miles on it close to a month ago. is there anything that should stop me from having this maintenance performed such as choice of oil grade and/or brand?

While I was in college, I had an Accord; I put closed to 200k miles on it, when the mechanic opened the engine cover to service the valves. Based on the wear and tear, it looked like an engine that only have been running no more than 40k miles!!! Therefore, I would recommend Mobil 1 as the choice for the engine oil and you will need 6.7 quarts not 5.
