Turn Signals ---->>> RED!!!!!!
Well... I took the plunge and did it... replaced my Amber turn signals in the rear, with RED LEDs and... it looks GREAT! I will post some pics (a video may be more successful, but we'll see). I used LEDs from www.autolumination.com - they have new 60 LED 7440's which willl fit a stock location.... just slightly less bright than the standard filament turn signals, but they look a HELL of a lot better IMHO.
Stay tuned....

i dont know cali law, nor do i live there, but i dont think it is illegal. think about all the cars out on the road now with the brake lights and signal being the same light and those are red as well.

Anyway, to each his own - it's looks especially cool at night!!!

this thread is awesome. i'm gonna do the LED turn signal swap too but with amber bulbs. i have a question: did you have to put in flashers or load resistors? and i was gonna get the 27 high powered LEDs from the same website thinking 60 was overkill but i guess not.
60 is not overkill, in fact, I will likely get brighter bulbs if/when they come out... these are pretty bright, but could even be brighter! As for load resistors, I am not going to do that and just deal with the fast flashing... I don't want to mount parts in the vehicle that generate heat and could cause other problems. I will wait to see if someone can eventually show me how to actually replace the flasher itself.

yeah i saw someone else say they did the swap and it flashed too quickly but then i saw your youtube clip and thought that wasn't too fast. oh and another question: do u have any bulb failure notices? anything not-normal? sorry to bug you with so many questions, i just wanna do things right the first time around. thanks a ton for your help
