Right now I have 4,650mls on my car, I'm closing in on my first 5K service. Should I call now and schedule an appointment or should I do the service after I mount my new wheels and lower the car? My wheels should be in the states next week, but it could take upto ~2 weeks for me to install everything....

So my question is this. Should I take the car in for service before I mount the wheels and lower the car or it does not really matter?

I would take it in before you mount your new stuff. I always get nerves they are going to curb a rim or go over a speed bump to fast.

Unless your going to get a alignment too. But you need to let your springs/coils settle for about 3 weeks before you do a alignment.

An alignment will probably cost 2x as much there. And I'm not too sure they'd want to touch the car with modded suspension. That's what I'm actually afraid of, if they start saying they cant work on it, because of the mods....

The first service is just oil/filter basically so take it in whenever... unless you are afraid of them curbing your new rims or something... in that case, go before you put them on.

always take it in stock, I've seen dealer destroyed my friend's brand new HRE rims at the dealers because he wouldn't wait to put it on

take it in before service. You will probably need an alignment as well so you might a swell wait

Default curbed wheels

I got my wheels curbed too from a dealer (also had a 2003 TL-s I had like 5K or less miles on it) the dealer took it for a wash somewhere and he got rear ended by a guy in a truck that was on the cell phone
