I did have the Escort and sold it. Didnt care for it. Red Light Camera feature is pretty nice but I am not in the city of Chicago that much and that is where its best. Sold my V1to get it and I am back with V1 now. This is just an added toy to have and I hope to keep this car for a longer period of time then I normally would have in the past. From all my correspondence with this company they say the location is fine and nothing will limit it. I guess there is one way to find out. One thing I read is that its best to have Laser part low or in the front bumper as that is where they aim the laser at. Maybe I need a laser jammer to install there then??
mount it high as recommended by V1. as for laser sensor, yup, to my knowledge it should be mounted on or near the license plate (they will aim at that first because it's the most targetable area), followed by bumper. laser jammer, i'd be careful with that. cop tags you with laser and can't get a lock - he will know you got something blocking him and may pull you over (esp. if it is illegal to use a laser jammer). only way laser jammer will work if it is illegal to use is if you can multitask - slow down and at the same time turn your jammer off so the cop can get a second lock on you at the reduced speed.

They target the license plate since it's the most reflective part of the car.

Mike,
While you're at it, can you tell us which wires provide the +12V source and ground inside that compartment to power up the unit? Thanks!

I didnt tap them but I will check for you. I ran it lower then that since I have another item that was part of the wiring process. Worked out easier and one less thing there since I have the radar in there.

Question Where or Where is the Fuse for the Power/Gig at??

okay so its up in there...bad news is I blew the fuse to the power outlet or cig lighter. Any how I took it all apart and tried it in the cig and nothing. So I placed the radar in the other car and it works. Was a little nervous it wouldnt fire up?!?!

so to no end I have located 4 different fuse boxes in the car. one under the driver side, one in the trunk on the L side and 2 under the hood. Cant seem to locate it. I am to close on the passenger side to open the door in the garage. Is there one under the foot well on that side also? Its all I need to fire this thing up

Default Stealth Mode Done!!!!

All done Try not to get dizzy with the video. But you see NO radar anywhere

Had a bad volume control and have to send it back to V1 (thought I had blown a fuse) so I cant control the volume until I have that but this is pretty click!!!

Enjoy

WOW.... you can get the conceal factor like the k40 but without the price. Looks great makes me regret buying the k40.
