Dear All..after my car was struck by the recent hail bomardment. dealer replaced the bonet, trunck lid, repaired the roof and repainted my entire 2007 GS-300
Can some one explain if there would be any difference betweent he factory and the dealer's paint job..in quality and durability? Much appreciated

 

Uh oh....time to get a new car.....unless they really took the time to do it right, this is not a good thing. It will never be as good as factory IMO

 

I would just make sure your insurance company gives you a diminished value credit for the loss you will take when you sell it. Does the title of the car show hail damage on it?

As for the paint I am sure it will be fine as long as the shop did a good job.

 

Someone backed into my diverside rear quarter panel, and I took it to the Lexus dealership. Its nothing like from factory not even close.

Blending 8 out of 10
Quality 6 out of 10

Even left tape between the roof and the quarter panel. Paint even looks like its starting to peal off from the bottom in between the bumper and quarter panel.

 

Take it back to the dealer 06MiCa!! A 45k+ car better not ever have paint peeling off!!
Tell them the complaints you just posted.

 

a good paint and body shop can repaint a car and make it look better than the factory.
