I bought a used key for our GS300 (06). Lexus local tech told my wife she had the 'wrong key' and it wouldn't program when he tried it. I know it isn't the wrong key as all the #s match. I read elsewhere on the Lexus forums that the ECU must be reset and both keys re-programmed if trying to add a used key.

It seems like there is much confusion regarding this. Does anyone know for certain what the issues are with this? Is the ECU reset the trick to getting a used (already programmed) key to work? Who is the appropriate person (title) to speak with at the dealership?
