Need second key for 2006 GS 300, anyone who has one or can tell me where I can get one other than the dealer?

 

If its like the 07 key I would assume you can only get them at the dealership because they need to be set up for the correct specifics for your car

 

Yes it is like the 07, I bought the car at a small dealership, they said I could buy a key and take it to get programmed to my car.

 

I bought mine at dealer for $160.00 ...cost $25 to program at dealer.

 

Here in Georgia its $335 for the key and $55 to program

 

Speaking of keys... when I first got my car, I wasn't used to not having to use my keys at all so I kept leaving the keys in my pocket and not taking them out... so now each of my two keys has been through the washer and dryer once so far! They still worked perfectly too...

Also, I think there was a thread somewhere about upgrading to the credit card type key that I think is used in the LS. Might want to look into that if you're getting a new key anyway.
