Noob without owner's manual needing some help

Hello everyone! As I mentioned in my introductory thread, I bought my 2006 GS300 without an owner's manual. The dealer who sold me the car will be acquiring a new one for me and until I get it, I will have to ask some very simple questions about my car.

1. What bulb does the car use for high beams and fog lights?

2. What is the color of the HID that the car came with from the factory?

3. What type of HID bulb does it use?

4. Since I have a spare, I would safely assume my tires are not run-flats?

5. Is it normal that the open/close switch for the sunroof also tilts it up/down? And that the up/down tilt switch also opens/closes the sunroof?

6. How do you put the seat position in memory? It doesn't seem to be working using the usual methods.

7. How do you program the doors to unlock when you put the gear in Park?

8. How do I activate the bluetooth system? I had paired with bluetooth systems in Prius and Camrys without the need of an owner's manual but can't seem to do it in the GS300.

9. Where is the best online place to purchase performance parts and accessories?

TIA for any help.

1. 9005 for highs, 9006 for fogs.
2. 4300k
3. D4S
4. Assume nothing, go outside and read the sidewall of your tires. If they say DSST or RFT, then they are runflats.
5. no
6. adjust the seat and mirrors to where you want, now, with the car in park, step on the brake pedal, while stepping on the brake pedal, press the SET button and then press the 1, 2 or 3 button while still holding the SET button. After the long beep, take your fingers off the buttons and brake pedal.
7. to long to explain to you now, wait for your manual. (see note below)
8. that's a whole chapter in the manual. (see note below)
9. I have had great luck with www.sewellpartsonline.com , www.irontoad.com , and www.parkplacelexus.com

To request your own free copy of both manuals (owners and supplemental) or print them in PDF form, or view them on your screen, just go to www.lexus.com , click on the owners section. Register yourself as the new owner (you will need your VIN). This has nothing to do with the DMV or anything like that. You are only registering it on that website. Once registered you can view the manuals and request new copies at no charge.

Thanks, StevieJ!! Now I know I need to step on the brake pedal to set the seat memory.

Next question: What is the best ipod integration? Opinions on VAISC, DICE & Peripheral please.

Thanks again, guys!

Yeah, I am in the same boat, I am looking to buy an ipod integration kit but I am torn between VAIS and iSimple (Peripheral). Does anybody have the iSimple kit?

Oh god you are right. I just assumed that someone wouldn't step on the brake while driving down the road to set the seats. But now that I think of it, they might try at a stop light.

Ok, I amended that step.

Thank you.

do a search. there was a recent thread (maybe about 2-3 months ago) where someone did a nice write up listing the pros and cons of the DICE and the VAISC items.

Well, stepping on the brake and the tranny in Park worked. Was able to set the seat memory successfully. Thanks, guys!

Any reason why you'd rather have the Scosche over the VAISC?
