Speedometer readings are off... ?
So on my way home from Vegas this week and out of boredom I decided to get the cruise control as close to 80 as possible and reset the mileage then wait....
After 5 minutes I had gone approx. 6.4 miles which I multiplied by 2 to get 12.8 miles in 10 minutes... Mulitplied this by 6 to get 76.8 miles per hour.
My question is ... is this normal to be off this much and do I just live with it or take it in for adjustments.
I have gone through the OEM tires and replaced them with Yoko S Drives of the same size as originals....
Thanks for any response.

Many people find that the reading is a bit slower than actual, some people say they are right on. Here is another thread....

Its a known fact that Honda/Acura speedos are off 5% (read faster), what wasn't known is the odometers were affected as well. There was a class action suit a few years ago to get Honda to admit this and tack on another 2,500 miles to their factory warranty (for Acuras) to compensate. That said, knowing the conservative nature of Lexus, I wouldn't be surprised if our speedos were 2-5% faster than actual, so an indicated speed of 75mph would actually be about 72. However, I fully expect the odometers to be dead on. . .
