So i connected my bluetooth blackberry to my phone book but once it tries to load the phone book it just disconnects. I'm thinking its due to the fact that I dont have my contacts saved to my sim card but rather my phone. Any ideas?

My AT&T tilt does the same. My phonebook doesn't transfer over for some reason, but no biggie. I just programmed it into the system. There are a few $s that I use, the rest I can dial thru the phone.

Not all phones are compatible to sync your address book via bluetooth from your phone. Some make you do it one by one. My old Moto Razr and Samsung Blackjack (Cingular/ATT) were like that. Who is your carrier?

Here's where to find if your phone is compatible but doesn't necessarily state which phones work with the address book sync:

I have connected 2 blackberries 8820 and Curve and a Treo 650

I didnt use the work sync since it doesnt sync, it copies in one direction, and it over writes everything every time

Your carrier may provide a web page showing which of their phones allow transfer of phone books. My carrier, Verizon, does (http://support.vzw.com/pdf/BT_Chart_PDAs.pdf). If your phone is on their list, even though Verizon isn't your carrier, the information should still apply.

http://lexus.letstalk.com has a list of the phones, and if you click on the phone, it tells you if it transfers, and gives you a guide on how to do the transfer. Click on the phone and look for "quick guide pairing instructions"

I had the same issues with my ATT Curve 8300. It would disconnect. However, I finally figured out how to do it after 5 tries. You actually have to "push" the book from your phone. There is a command on the menu in your phone (or at least my curve) to push. It synched up and set the phone book. (800 entries in about 1 min)

Let me know if that works.

I have a BlackBerry 8320 from T-Mobil and the procedure in the link
below for the 8300 from AT&T worked, well sort of...

It kept disconnecting trying to find an "object Push Server". I said WTF
and forced it to connect again while on the car's transfer screen and it
worked. It transfered 45 entries nearly instantly. Expect extreme flakyness
