Default Nav Hack on Ebay?

Has anyone seen this supposed 3GS navigation hack on ebay?
It says it's for the GS 300/430......Is that the hack we already have in the tips section? Do you think it works for newer versions?

That's right. I contacted one of the previous buyers; the jerk sells the old hack instructions available here for free.

You can sell just about everything on eBay, that includes you left over lunch , and some sucker out there will buy it.

Someone once took an old piece of chewed gum from a garbage container and claimed it to be Arnold Swarzenegger(sp?).

It sold for $2000.

This is totally OT, but I've seen several auctions when PS3 first came out... Guess what, those sellers legitimately (on a technicality) sold the BOXES of the PS3 for thousands of dollars.

I wonder if people don't read, or if they can't read.

Are you serious ? I assume by your userid that you're an optometrist, in any event, it's similar to someone selling lasik surgery for a low price, and the buyer gets a crappy xeroxed copy of a manual on how to do it yourself. . .

The instructions on here are how to "do it yourself", too. The only difference is here the instructions are free and on ebay they're not. How is that NOT entreprenurial?

^^ Can't agree with you guys on this. Members of CL are clearly 'enthusiasts' and car junkies, maybe less than 5% of the actual Lexus owners community, whereas Ebay is a higher traffic public flea market for folks of all ages, demographics, skillsets, etc. Where's the disclaimer that it may void warranty, may be ILLEGAL in most states and may cause damage to the electronics of the vehicle if done improperly and most important REQUIRES ML/Nav to work properly. IMHO, ebay should crack down on these types of shysters, clearly the buyer will be unfairly duped by this auction. . .

SoCal, I'm not disagreeing with you. I think all those disclaimers should be made. That doesn't make the guy any less entreprenurial is all I'm saying.

socal, agreed in that aspect, when i read the auction, he does make it seem like anyone can do it, does not mention cutting etc, we all know it takes a bit of work to get it done right
