Default My new GS350

In the words of the great American Poet Jay-Z: "Please allow me to re-introduce myself..."

After 8 years and 140,000 miles I retired my 1999 GS300 and purchased a 2007 GS350. Smoky Granite Mica with black leather and Navigation. My short list of mods includes: Tanabe NF210 springs, 35% ceramic tint, XM radio, JL Audio 250/1 amp, JL Audio 12W3V3 in a custom 4080enclosures.com.

Don't ask, they are just exhaust tips not a full exhaust. I know that I'm just a poser but I can't deal with the low rpm drone that you get with free flowing exhaust.

I changed the wedge and fog light bulbs to PIAA ION Crystal Amber and had the fog lights covered with yellow tint:

Painted the calipers:

The www.4080enclosures.com is very OEM like and doesn't take up make space:

My Lexus and my BMW:

And of course I have to represent for CL and SELOC:

I think that I have them resized now. Sorry about that. Thanks.

I found this a long time ago and have been waiting to use it. Too bad I had to use it on myself.

I actually found those old stickers when I was cleaning out my '99 GS before I traded it in. They had been in my glove box for more than a few years.

What?! No wheels on your list of planned mods? That's sacrilege.

Congrats and welcome to 3GS land.

Congrats and welcome to 3GS land.

I'm trying to wait until I need tires to make a final decision. If I don't change them, this will be the first car that I have owned since 1984 (I'm old) that I didn't change the wheels on. My last GS went straight from the dealer to the rim shop. In my haste I made a bad decision and ended up getting something better a year or so later. I don't want to make the same mistakes.

But I'm trying to be like Jay-Z "Young enough to know the right car to buy, but grown enough not to put rims on it".

I'm sure that I am older than you and I've been running aftermarket wheels a looong time and don't ever plan on stopping. J-Z or whatever his name is can run stock all he likes, no hating on stock for anyone who wants it but I can't stand it for myself. It's good to be patient though. I got my GS in May. Bought wheels the next day. Didn't like them. Bought another. Didn't like them. Just got my third set. Not in love with them but I like them. Take your time.

Easier said than done. I'm sure that once I start seeing more and more GS350s rolling around I will want to get wheels to be different. Then a grill, then a body kit, then..... it never ends.

Congrats and welcome!

Darn it, I want a CL sticker!!!

I like the tips and the overlay on the fogs. I just got 2500K bulbs. Also nice job on caliper paint!

Congrats K! Very nice new ride, can't wait to see where you take this one.

Did your trade your 2nd gen GS?

Thanks Dave. Yes I traded (gave away) my old GS. Although it still looked pristine, 140,000 miles hurt the value. I may have been able to squeeze a little more money out of a private sale but I didn't want the hassle.
