I just called Sewell Lexus and they charge 424.00.

I thought they were like 150 or 200 bucks!

I can press "I agree" a little longer.

If one was to upgrade, and they did the wire hack, would the wire hack for watching DVD's in motion and dialing and inputing dest. while in motion be arbitrary? Would it work anymore?

I just called a local dealer in Phoenix and they charge 295.

Getting cheaper!

I will keep trying.

I am about 100% sure that if the hack was done via hardware (cutting and splicing wires) that all future software upgrades will work.

Software hacks however will have to 'redo' their procedure and hope for the best. - This may not work with future upgrades.

Yes, first off no need for the driver to touch the screen in response to the nag screen on driving safely, not looking at screen etc. The screen dissappears on it's own. I live in a newer area of Rockton Il, my street was not included on the ver .61 I got with my 2007 ES350. The area was included on the new ver .71

I have only had the disk a day and I fear there may have been some read errors from the disk as I noted some unusual screens. I will need a few more days with it to make a determination though.

You can still buy at Sewell for the discounted price. The link seems broken at this point and leaves you at the home page. Just clink on the posted link and search for "7.1" and it will get you there. I ordered mine tonight with the promo code NAV07 and got it for $260.

Good luck!

I just answered my own question. They sent me generation 4 upgrade instead of 5.
They are swopping it out for me.

NAV and PHONE?
