PS2's

I just picked up my new 07 GS350 last week. I had the dealership swap out the OEM Yokohama's with Michelin PS2s. After a week and a half (about 650 miles), I am noticing the car pulls to the right, and also seems very jittery (sort of bumpy) over 70MPH. Does anyone else have that experience? Other than a small sunroof rattle, everything else is great...
Thoughts?

Had PS2s put on last week and I don't have any problems. The one thing I might add is that low profile performance tires tend to tramline so if you have a groove in the road, the car will feel like it's pulling to one side. The car will also be very sensitive to crowning where the middle of the road is higher than the edge. As far as the bumpy over 70 issue, it sounds like you need the tires rebalanced. Mine are smooth as silk at all speeds.

Over 70 mph? It's a safety feature built in by Lexus to tell drivers to not drive so fast... :p

someone else in TX had this pulling issue with the PS2s.

SLK DDS did but I don't have the problem so I don't think it's the PS2s.

I have been running PS2's for about 6 to 8 months. I have not had a single issue with mine. I love them!

Robert I'm not knockin the PS2. I had them on my BMW 3 series and thought it was one of the best tires I've driven on. Wish the dealer gave me PS2s instead of the Primacy HP's, but I'll take what I can get :)

+1 exactly.

I've easily run over 130mph and no vibrations at all.
Very smooth.

That was in Mexico right? ;)

Jace7 Aug 28, 2007 02:01 PM

uh, ya, right, b/c we all know speeding is illegal. but you can go whatever speed you want on an "on ramp" right? :)

2thfixr Aug 28, 2007 02:04 PM

How fast did you get the gixxer going on the "on ramp"? :D

Jace7 Aug 28, 2007 02:09 PM

well, I can get to 100 in 1st gear, so take a guess. i bet I've hit 140 or so easy just on the on ramp before merging and slowing down, not sure though.
I've gone 174 so far.

Mine seem to pull to the right too. The dealer told me it was a "radial tire pull". I did not believe them so I went to another dealer and had the alignment checked. Both alignments came out the same. I am not sure what to do from here?
