Agreed. I love those tires. Long treadwear and they are very quiet.

I am having the same problem with the noise... I have the Yokohama tires and they make this horrible noise after I reach 40 miles per hour. I took it to the dealership and he told me to get the Michelin tires. He said its because of the tire wear in the inner part of the tire which is causing the noise...

Where are you guys buying your tires at ? I have about 21,000 miles on my tires and I haven't replaced them yet and I need to do so very soon !

I am looking for a quiet long lasting tire. Don't really care much aboiut all season or performance.....

I cant say much about the MXM4, but I bought the Primacy MXV4 instead with size 245/45/18 since it doesnt come in 245/40/18 which is the standard tire size on the GS with 18 inch rims. So far the michelin is very quiet, stable, and smooth. Feel more road feel than the continental contiprocontact touring tires ( my favorite all season tire) thought slight more noise on highway. If you where to choose between MXM4 (which is not a good michelin touring tires) and the continental contiprocontacts(standard on the BMW 535 XI and Audi A6), I would go to the continental contiprocontacts any day. These continentals are soft (so pressure up to 38 PSI will offset it and will be smooth and last up to 45,000 miles and are very good). I wish the Michelin MXV4 primacy that I have where more tolerable over big bumps but they are good enough. I only have my GS for another 6 months and return it due to end of lease.
