My GS is "in transit"
I was supposed to pick mine up last Saturday (Finally),but now the dealer says its "in transit". He cant find out any info as all the computer says its in transit to the port. Once it gets to the port, it has to go to him, and then theres a day before I can go and get it.
Does this sound like the truth? I handed in my Accord lease yesterday and now Im officially on foot patrol. Do you guys think the dealer might just be stringing me along or something ? It's been like 3 months since I placed the order. This weekend is going to suck sitting in the house.
I've never wanted something so bad in my life. This is torture. I think Lexus just doesnt want the GS to do well for some reason.

Have your dealer fax you the Vehicle Information Fact Sheet on your car. It will show you every detail about your car including VIN#, Transit status, all the options/features it has, etc.
For example, when my car was on the boat the transit status field told me the name of the ship my car was on. I was so anxious I actually tracked the progress of the ship as it made its way from Japan to the Long Beach CA shipyard. If my memory serves me correct, when the status showed "In Transit" it meant the car had left the shipyard and from that point on it would travel by train or truck transoprt and take up to 10 or 12 days to arrive at the dealer, depending on how far away the dealer is from the port of arrival.
Anyway, having the fact sheet gave me something to do for a couple of weeks while I was waiting for my car. I can't imagine waiting 2-4 months for the car. I would have gone crazy.

Wow... Just got it a few hours ago. What an incredibly fun ride compared to my 04 Accord. Its amazing how fast it seems.
Its going to take forever I feel like trying to learn how to use the navi and bluetooth phone stuff. Any pointers?
I love how the rear view mirror sorta dims itself when other cars are up your ***. Damn I love this car!
