Not sure but I would imagine that what you could do is disconnect it from its constant on to the fog light lines so that they can work along with the fogs.

Not sure, but I thought you can have the dealer do this (Lexus Personalized Settings).

oh wow, didnt realize that lexus would allow this "safety" feature to be prsonalized. thats neat, now if they'll only add a feature to personalize the "safety" feature that makes the navi inop while vehicle is moving and the nag screen. i know theres a hack but this would still be nice.

Thumbs up YES, Dealer Can Turn DRL Off !!!

Initially they thought it was required by law to leave DRL on, but I told them that in the owner's manual it allows us to have the option to turn it off. So once they confirmed with the owner's manual, they hooked it up to the computer and turned off the DRL for good.

Thank you all for the advice.

So can they be turned on at all now? WIll they come on with the HIDs or are they off forever? If they are no longer usable, then I think that is a waste of those lights.

In other words, wouldnt it be better to leave them as is and only diable them if they can be turned on in some fashion instead of just being inoperable lights?

Sorry, thats the price I pay for not having a 3GS yet. I have an SUV currently which lets me run fogs w/o headlights on so I assumed this to be the case here. Pretty disappointed the 3GS doesn't allow this but its understandable given that the 3GS is a DRL vehicle and my SUV isn't.
