The way I took it was, that you wanted to do to your headlights what some choose to do to their taillights. Addind a tint cover or whatever to stealth it out....

Is this what you are wanting to do to your headlights... Either add tint to the covers or add the plastic hard cover to the lights to tint the look.....

If this is correct and you are wanting to do what I thought you meant, then I think it's bass akwards. Why add tint, even if for looks that dull the output of HIDS> The look of HID's is enough of a good look..

But I do understand why you'd want to as well. I think from a wow that looks nice standpoint, go for it.. It looks nice...
But from a productive standpoint, uh no... You won't see as good, and it's bass akwards......

The smoked HID housings on the 2nd gen GS looked sweet. That would be a great factory option for the GS

Guys i was not referring to smoking or tiniting the outer layer of the headlight. I was looking to see if anyone smoked the HID housing. By smoking the housing you lose no light output what so ever, the Infiniti M35/45's have that option. Here are some pictures so you guys can see what i mean.

well then. Thanks for clearing up the obvious confusion.
In short to answer your first posted question, no I haven't done it to mine.
Do I think it looks good, ya sure, not bad.
