How does traction control work in 3GS?

On my 2007 GS350, holding the button down while in park turns off VSC. It stays off no matter how fast I go, until I turn the ignition off. The process needs to be repeated each time you get into the car.

Did the "AFS OFF" light comes on? Not the picture one of your car swvering (or how u spell it)

One press
- logo light up
- deactivates automatically after 30 secs

Press & hold
- logo light up
- "AFS OFF" light comes on
- only deactivates when you restart the engine.
