Can New IS 18" rims be directly installed on a 06 GS 300 AWD?

I see there is a set of new IS 18" for sale, will they fill my 2006 GS 300 AWD with out any issues?

I would like to get a new set of 18" for my 06 GS 300 AWD.

Also what do I need to know so that when I browse the Classified Wheels and Tires so that I know I can used them on my GS?

Thanks for the help.

I don't believe they can.

The IS 18'' wheels are usually staggered (8'' wide front wheels,
8.5'' wide rear wheels). If the rolling diameters are not the same
within a certain tolerance it will mess up the AWD system...

Some people do have staggered setups with AWD, but they were
very careful to match the rolling diameters.

If you do a search you should be able to find which setups people
have tried.

What are the offsets on the stock IS 18 in wheels?

marshmallo 12-10-06 10:43 AM

I am pretty certain they are both +45mm offset.

(F) 18x8, +45 - tires :225/40/18
(R) 18x8.5, +45 - tires : 255/40/18

So I punched these numbers into the tire size calculator at

www.1010tires.com

and came up with :

25.08in up front and 26.03in in the back a 3.65% difference.

The stock setup will NOT work...
