take out stock HID bulbs, put in new 6000k or whatever you like, it can be done in 3 minutes.
"upgrade" is a misleading word, it's actually a "downgrade" if you look at the lumens output ....or did i just confuse you more

Hi Guys,
OEM Lexus HID (if your car came with HIDs from the factory) means that your vehicle uses a D4S bulb for the low beams. OEM HID use 4300k (approx) bulbs as they are rated at the highest lumens output meaning that they are the brightest.
If you are not happy with the colour that your OEM HID bulbs are emitting and would like a slightly more bluish/purplish tinge you would need to replace your OEM bulbs (as shown on the first page). We do sell replacement D4S replacement bulbs in both 6000k and 8000k. Please view this link:
http://www.kbcarstuff.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=d4s
We also offer Club Lexus members a discount on these bulbs simply by using this coupon code - CLGB08
Using this coupon code will get you a $30 discount per bulb.
Hope this helps,
Steve

help with installation
I got my Garax 6000k yesterday and took about 2 hours to install it with a friend...We must be so stupid because we can't seem to put it back in correctly for the clips to "clip"...Any suggestions? Thanks!

whoa! thread is back from the dead! anyway, i'm biting because i just had my 6000k D4S bulbs installed. my before and after is exactly what was shown on post #1 of this thread. i went with yellow on the fogs. as for the highs, when i saw the demo of the 7000k nokya 9005 compared to the 5000k and 4000k, it looked so whitish blue that i thought i may have found a match with my 6000k HIDs. now after installing the 7000k 9005s, damn, they came out white with a very small hint of yellow. just disappointed and i guess i wouldn't be able to find a matching 9005 high beam for my 6000k HID lows.
just for the record, the 4200k PIAA 9005s that i had in the high beams matched very closely with the 4200k D4S HIDs that came OEM in my car. but i switched to 6000k because i like that color and i have them in 3 of my other cars. and yes, i have LED bulbs for the park light and the 6000k D4S matched very well with those.

Light Assistance
I need some assistance with troubleshooting bulb issues. I followed the directions and successfully changed the bulbs on my 06 GS. When I went to do the same with an 07 GS, I noticed that the passenger side buld was loose. The drivers side was snug and tight. When I turned the lights on, the passenger side went out. After three or four times of turning the lights on and off, they finally stayed on.
What can I check to correct this issue. I put the stock bulb back in and that did not fit snuggly either or anymore since it was removed, but it came on at first try. We change swapped the passenger and drivers side bulbs with the same results. Any suggestions on where to look?
