my rear tire, 275/30 19", has 20K mi. and blew out yesterday....looks like the tread is low. I was wondering how many miles you guys get on your tires. and if you can list what tires you have. mine are toyo t1r's. thanks guys.

Toyo T1-R's are very sticky tires with a pretty low treadwear rating. But it is expected of that type of tire, since that is the average treadlife for that particular tire. It's a summer only tire so you wont get the same treadlife as an all season tire that has a compound specifically for treadwear longevity.

I have Bridgestone Potenza RE750s 245/45/17 F, 275/40/17 R. My last ones (RE730s) lasted 36K on the rear. Fronts were worn on the sides, but had some tread left in the center. I decided to change all 4 at the same time. Very good traction, dry and wet. Overall, a very good tire IF you don't mind the noise (which is quite noticeable and out of character with a lux ride).

I drive ~90% on the freeway (with an occasional backroad session), so most of my tire wear is from accelerating and turning (very little braking).

Also, you may want to note that if your car is lowered, the alignment settings can affect your tread life. Camber that is slightly off may shave off a few thousand miles from your tread life, whereas an off toe setting can effectively shave treadwear in half if severe enough.

Will doing an alignment after dropping the car fix the camber issue?

I thought on the 3GS, camber is not adjustable. Toe is but to my knowledge, no one has come up with camber adjustment arms (yet). I know that on my car (with NF210s) after alignment, my toe is within spec but camber is .1 out of spec

I think camber adjustment is built into the AWD model, but I'm not sure about the non-AWD models. Nardeezy posted up instructions on how to adjust the camber. Do a search and you should be able to find it.

I have the Toyo tires on my 06 GS300 and they are showing wear at 12K miles.
Also, the road noise is real bad. How many others are noticing high road noise?
I talked to my dealer but was told it was normal. When I test drove the GS, the demo unit had the low profile tires and the road noise wasn't even a fraction of what I am experiencing. I'm pretty fed up.
