Just to be clear are you saying that when you place a call via the cell or through the navigation no sound comes out of the front left speaker (this is the only one used by this function). What type of phone do you have? Does it's bluetooth application indicate that it is in "hands free" mode when it is connected to the GS?

I recall someone having this issue with one of the Sprint phones... I don't remember which one though. I'll see if I can dig it up.

I Have Verizon And The Vcast Samsung Phone, It Shows That It Is On Blue Tooth Mode And I Can Even Dial From Both The Car And The Phone Itself But Then I Hear No Sound From The Speaker, Sometimes It Works But Mosltly It Doesn't.

do you need to reconnect everytime? if you do, it's most likely a problem with the phone itself and its firmware.

Do you like the Bluetooth functionality?

I have an '06 GS300 and thought the Bluetooth connectivity was a nice feature when I was looking for a new car. I didn't do my due diligence very well when I test drove the car. The delay when you call someone is very annoying to the person called and to me. Also, not being able to dial using the LCD display while moving is really sorry. :thumbdn: I know that there is someone who is going to say it is for safety reasons. But lets face it, 99% of us with cell phones do dial out while moving. Instead of having a nice large keypad on the LCD to use, we have to use the tiny buttons on the actual phone. More of a safety issue than using the keypad on the LCD in my opinion.

I rode in a collegue's 2006 Nissan Maxima and the Bluetooth function is really slick. The Nissan Bluetooth implementation has voice dialing that works very well. Sad when you consider how much more the GS300 costs over the Maxima. It 's another case where Lexus did not pay close enough attention to detail. The voice dialing is in the Nissan Maxima and in the M35 Infinity.

Anyone else care to comment?
