Default Latch System for Baby Seats?

Do any of you know if the GS430 comes with the latch system for baby seats?

Also, is there a place to download the manual for this car.

Thanks

J

Every car is required to come with LATCH since 2003, so yes it has it.

Don't know about the manual. I doubt it is available unless someone scanned the whole thing or something.

You can get the manual here:

https://auth.owners.lexus.com/lexusowners/auth/ssl/OwnersLogin?TYPE=33554433&REALMOID=06-3e4000cd-1b2c-016d-0000-4af800004af8&GUID=&SMAUTHREASON=0&METHOD=GET&SMAGENTNAME=$SM$tRTXECCaL3IVHRjGdCVz7moQ6LeqfhiOS2puMeJfkzNB33zdgaCwMA%3d%3d&TARGET=$SM$https%3a%2f%2fauth%2eowners%2elexus%2ecom%2flexusowners%2fauth%2fssl%2fWelcome

Be advised that it's not all in one piece. You're going to have to download each piece separately.

We just moved our grand daughter's seat into our GS430 for a short trip. Pull the shoulder harness all the way out and it then ratchets back but won't pull out again until you let it all the way in. Try it out, sit in the back seat, buckle the seatbelt and then pull it all the way out and you'll see how it will lock up and not let you breath if you ratchet it back enough.

Um, that's the way all seatbelts are that are intended for car seat installation. I know Chevy, Honda, Nissan and Toyota/Lexus are like this. Try it on any car, pull the rear seatbelt all the way out and it will work as you describe.

It's not unusual Trust me, I have 3 kids!
