Default Looks good

My grandmother has an 06 GS300 and it looks amazing. However we're having problems here. This happened yesterday, we wanted to take a drive and I hit the start button, but it doesn't start. It shows the engine light, then after a minute or so it does 2 beeps constantly and says "check complete" "check vsc". What the hell does this mean? Please help!!

Hey CL! I been on here for a while. Just been dormant lol. Anyhow last time I was here I was in 2001 GS430. It got stolen and damaged on the driver side and insurance declared it total loss smh. I was cleaning the car one day and I lost my valet key... Maybe the person that found it walking by decided to try they're luck.... I decided to take the insurance money offered for the 01 and it was almost $7k. I went and got a 2006 GS430. I miss my old one. I had it from 76k miles to 120k over a span of 5 years. I enjoyed that car heavily and it was a dream to drive. I had the 3GS rims on it but the day I dropped it off to the insurance office I put the 17s back on and kept the 18s for my wife's 2005 RX330. Anyhow the new beast is amazing!!! I love the way it drives. Ima car enthusiast so I know my sounds and vibrations in each car I drive. I must say the 2006 model 430 they made every little thing much much better. It's great. Ironically I got it with 120k miles..... Continuing off right where I left off with the old one.... How strange? I put some pics of the old GS as I seen it in my last days with it..... It all happened so quickly I'm just flabbergasted. I really never planned on letting go of the 01. But that's how fate played out. I'm not mad. It's just materials. The 06 is like dark grey/gunmetal. With tan leather seats and the steering wheel and front console is dark grey like my old one. Got it for $10,995. Found it the same day it popped up on CarGurus. I recommend that app! It works! Also squeezed in a picture of my wife's truck with the old GS in one of those on the day I bought it ... GodBless you all on CL. Everyone have a blessed day

Another new arrival here.
08 GS460 ~62k miles
All options as far as I can tell, on lowering Springs with some nice aftermarket mufflers.
Picked it up a few weeks ago, have been loving it, absolutely amazing machine.
Will be transforming it over the coming months.
Representing Australia.

Default New owner down under

I had to part with my beloved LX470, I am still upset about letting it go. I am temporarily between jobs and the $200 fuel fill ups were just hurting too much. I had owned an LS430 and it was brilliant but they are rare here in Aus, so I found a very low mile 2005 GS300 with just 29'000kms. Car is immaculate but has two niggles I will have to sort out. Once I got it home I found it had developed condensation in both left hand headlights and I will also need new brake shims. On that note, my god do these make some brake dust! Worse than my old W140 Benz.

Anyway, I am looking forward to benefitting from the collective knowledge of this forum once again and contributing if I am able.

Nice looking car mate I just picked up a GS430, post above yours. I'm in NSW, Central Coast. Looks like you are in Vic? There is another car like yours that lives right near me, good pick up with those KM's, fuel bill is not doubt a lot more pleasant than mine. Enjoy the car mate.

With those KM they may be factory brake pads which are definitely very dusty. The headlights are a bit of a drama, will be a pain to remove but should be an easy fix otherwise.

Great to meet an Aussie friend. I'm a Sydney Northshore boy but as you would know the cost of living has forced me out, at age 28 I don't fancy trying to find huge money for a tiny apartment lol. I've moved down to the Vic high country where my oldies retired while I plot my next move hehe.

The V8 you have is brilliant. I would have got one but I had to snap this up purely on Kms. I'll be a happy chappy when the niggles are fixed. Brakes are squeaking loudly, so I assume it is Shims and foggy headlight. Dumping it on Lexus Wednesday to sort out for me. Used to use Lexus Chatswood.

Keep in touch, we can assist each other in diagnosis etc. Feel free to pm. Yours looks stunning!

Likewise. Surely there are a few of us kicking around here. I know the feeling. I was up in Townsville with the army for 8 years but moved home to be close to family, house prices are about triple what they were up there. Pushing 30 this year and its going to be a struggle to get a nice place here on the coast but that's life.

This is my first V8, been in boosted imports since forever so its a nice change. There was a really nice one for sale in VIC until a few days ago which must have finally sold. I never see them on the road here. Good luck with your issues, see you around the pages here mate. Keep us updated. Always happy to lend a hand.

Your car looks brand new, congrats and enjoy!

Default Gs350!

Hi All!

Just picked up a 2007:

1) GS350
2) AWD
3) Obsidian (212)
4) 18 Machined Tourmalines with Hankook Ventus V12 evo meats
5) with Spoiler
6) Gray Interior
7) purchased from a nice family who had taken great care of it, ~70K miles, solid service history

Recently sold a '13 Genesis RSpec which was fast and nice but don't have confidence in the long-term reliability. Back to what I do trust with the Lexus GS350. The GS is a nice vehicle too and I'm hoping to have it around for a while. Big fan of Toyota and Lexus with 4Runner, RX350, and LX470 all in the stable.

Thar she blows!
