Just wanted to post info as data point.
I needed to make a duplicate key for my 07 GS, so I bought a cheap aftermarket one off ebay for around $25.
I had toyota techstream software already, so I was easily able to program the spare keyfob in 30 seconds through the odb port.
The aftermarket one has some Kangyo chips inside, compared to the texas instrument chips in the original.
So if you buy one with KangYo chips, it will probably work.
i actually like the aftermarket battery socket better than OEM.
It fits a 2032 coin battery or a 1632 battery. friction fit.
Since these are all made in china, if you have the Aliexpress app and ali-coins, you can get this same keyfob for $16 or less after coins and coupon discount.
