450h won't pass smog due to code U0100 & U0293
 

Help! My car is getting these 2 codes.
U0100 Lost Communication with ECM/PCM "A"
U0293 Lost Communication with hybrid Power train Module

Car drives fine, starts fine, no emissions codes,
Hybrid battery was inspected and is working fine all cells are in good shape.
also VSC, Track off, light on along with check eng light

Clear the codes and see if this persists? Those aren't monitor codes and it sounds extremely weird that the car's running just fine with these (they're codes for CAN issues). Have you checked the regular 12v battery just in case?

I delete the codes, and they come back , they usually come back on a start up but not all the time, yes the 12v battery is good and strong.checked all fuses and connectors all good.
I want to take a risk and install a new ECM? Any opinions??

Possibly a bad ground location causingintermittentlost connection. Try going through and cleaning the one battery to car and the ground location you can locate behind the kick panels and any others you can locate.

Did you ever end up finding a fix? im getting the same u0293 error code on my 2016 es300h

where you able to fix this issue im having the same issue

It was the 12v Battery
 

It ended up being the 12v Battery, I learned that even if the battery is 1 volt low, it will give soo many issues
