BT45-Toy won't connect bluetooth
 
Hey all, My bluetooth has been working perfect for the last few months.
Last night I accidentally hit a button & now it won't play.
My phone connects to the BT45-toy, but my car does not say "connected" after startup. It's so simple, but I can't seem to figure this out.
Any ideas????

You may have disabled the voice prompt. It should still work fine. I turned the voice prompt off on mine because it was so loud. Make sure your audio isn't muted if you're not hearing anything. If you phone says it's connected, then music should still play fine.

I believe that device is controlled by clicking the cd button. The cd button switches between the cd changer and the device.

I wish. That's what I though too. I've spent hours, called customer service, emailed customer service. it just won't play... My CD button shows "No disc".

Check the dip switches on the device. You may have changed the combination so the audio is no longer going to cd. I personally set mine to the SAT instead of cd because you can make it display the artist and song name on SAT. It can't do that on the cd mode.

Thanks for this. This would assume that somehow the unit itself got bumped or the switches moved somehow?
The company has been zero help so far. I didn't install the unit but that's my next logical step is to check the unit itself.
Thanks for the feedback... This thing is so frustrating to track down since there's not a ton of custom support & zero customer support from USASpec.

It shouldn't be too difficult to access the unit, if you're in luck it was placed underneath the center console trim. If it was then you don't have to remove the screen.

When you click on it, it cycles between cd and the device. When you click it a second time does it still say no disk?

yeah, no matter what it always says "no disc". I'm going to pull the center console apart shortly & check the bt45 unit & verify the dipswitches...

Update, I was able to access the unit. Nothing moved or was out of place. I adjusted the dipswitches & got it to work again. I honestly have no clue what happened & what caused the audio not to play. My bluetooth was connected on my phone, audio was playing on my phone but it would not play through the stereo.
I was able to get it playing back through the CD button.
I emailed USA Spec twice (they claim 1 day response). They never responded to me. Their website does not have a contact phone number, only email. But... As I watched their install video, the tech called them multiple times. So I found their phone number! I called twice, they told me their tech would call me back shortly. After 2 days of no response, I called again and told them I wanted a call within 5 minutes. As luck would have it, the tech called right as the bluetooth audio connected & started playing...
USA Spec phone number is 626-336-3836

That's good to hear. Maybe one of the dip switches got moved to a halfway position, or simply cycling them fixed the unit.
