Got power wont start.

Default Got power wont start.

I have a 2008 lexus gs350,and she won't start.i checked the relays,the starter,they work but no power,push the button and it does nothing but turns the fans on.i don't get it.can someone help.

If nothing turns on but you do hear the radiator fans kick on, then it sounds like a bad fuel pressure sensor is shorted. This is a common problem if you never replaced it. What happens is the fuel pressure sensors gets damaged, it shorts the 5 volt reference on the ecu. This is why nothing will start, except the fans.

I would buy an oem sensor, theres a part number if you search for it. Beware of fake china sensors. I think if you try to buy direct from the dealer they will tell you to buy the whole fuel rail with the sensor. But there is a part number for just the sensor. I took this route when I replaced my fuel sensor on my 08 GS350. I would also buy a top radiator gasket, and throttle body gasket. In order to remove the sensor you have to take off the top plastic intake manifold, theres a bunch of allen head bolts. Theres 2 hidden bolts in the back. Once you remove the intake from the car that will give you access to that sensor its in the back of the engine, in the center.
