I have a second gen gs300 and am trying to instal a Vled led headlight bulbs kit but the oem headlights are hids and I can’t figure out how to get the ballast off. It doesn’t have a visible plug and I don’t want to open the computer it runs into without certainty due to it being glued and sealed. Any help would be great cause I can’t find anything online about the hid stuff.

 

Remote the connector from the bulb and pull the whole thing out.

 

it doesn’t fit with the headlights aimed in any position. Also I want the computer still attached just no cable if possible.

 

The factory assembled the unit somehow. Maybe you have to partially disassemble the bulb connector?

 

It's been years since I did my retrofit but, I think you remove the motor for the leveling system and it gives you just enough room to fish it out. The motor is that brown cylinder on the right side of your picture. If I remember correctly, you just twist it and pull it out....kinda like unlocking a halogen bulb.

The reflector has a lot more movement once the motor is removed.
