Default Loose wire... Help!

I have a 2000 GS400. A few months back I changed the timing belt, water pump etc. (with the help of this forum. Many thanks to those of you that posted tutorials on that process.) Everything has been running good no issues. Today while doing an oil change I noticed this wire hanging. I’m assuming it’s a ground wire but I don’t know where it’s supposed to be connected. Can someone please point me in the right direction as to where it bolts up.

It almost looks like it belongs near the alternator. Follow the natural curve of the wiring harness and see where it leads you...

Looks like that bracket bolts to the alternator. I believe that wire is your battery negative ground cable. You'll want to make sure that's fixed. Most likely the bolt that secures the bracket is missing, so you'll want to source the correct one.

Thats a ground. It connects to the block behind the alternator and in front of the engine mount. Should see a hole missing a bolt.
