Is the glass on GS400s rain repelant or just GS430s?

Is the glass on GS400s rain repelant or just GS430s?
My side windows seem to repel water quite a bit, and my front windshield seems to repel water decently- definitely moreso than most other cars I've ridden in, but still nowhere near as good as a freshly Rain-Xed windshield.
So what's the story behind this? Which GS models got rain repelant glass, is all of it repelant or just some of it, and if it's not doing a good enough job is Rain-X OK to use on it?

It's just the new 430's.
Screw Rain-X IMO. Just wax your windshield. Lasts longer and works better!

My 00 GS400 has the front rain repellant glass. Unless of course I bought it with some type of the glass treatment and didn't know about it.

I heard there's supposed to be this type of treatment for windshields that provides lifetime water beading. Does anyone know anything about this?

Front side repellent glass was started on the 01 GS430 model. Any GS year prior, you have to rain-x or wax ya windows.

I agree with you 100%. While you wax the car ( i do it every couple of weeks), wax the windshield as well. You'll be amazed during the next rain fall!

I have 01 GS430 and the repellant does not work as well as Rain X or wax. I still put on Rain X when raining season start.
