Water in Trunk
It's not normal. You should keep it dry or you will get mold. You need to locate the source of the leak. Water doesn't just appear, so a seal is allowing it to drip / leak in there. I'd start with inspecting the entire seal around the trunk.
Thanks. Im beginning to suspect that the car had a fender bender in the back. The trunk is sitting straight and is unpainted but the rear fender cover is aftermarket.
My body shop guy changed the seal around the trunk but it didnt help. I rinsed the car and found water in the same place. I went back annd he put plastic plugs in the holes that the plastic discs were taped over, where I believe the water was coming from. I washed the car heavily that evening, and it looks like the plugs did the job. Hope this helps someone
