Default Drove to Drag International to get the Aristo Swap done today - 6/6/19

That's right! I drove my (nice) 2001 GS300 to Fort Lauderdale today (well drove there today, work starts tomorrow morning), to get the Aristo swap done with some extra mods.

Drag Int promises a crazy fast turnaround! It shouldn't take very long at all. I figure I'll have fun making the thread as it happens. I hope I will even have time to take pictures to post up in here.

I have a hotel for two nights walking distance away and drove the car here with temp tags.

The goods:

Aristo engine + trans etc

Catless downpipe (adding O2 bung for future AFR)

Greddy FMIC

Aluminum radiator

Trans cooler

Good luck with the turn around. I wouldn't be surprised if you miss work tomorrow lol. I'm sure they will make their best effort to get it done, but promising that is a good way to get your business now, and if they can't get it done that quick, oh well, they still got the job lol. They just say, "we tried"! Too many factors that can go wrong in a job like that if you ask me. Still hope for the best for you.

I work from my laptop so missing work isn't a thing - and I am giving them twice the time they said they would need. I still think its insanity! I'm excited to see them do their thing.

If anything strange goes wrong, I hope to hear about it and post about it here.

If nothing goes wrong, I'll be even more excited

Everything went without issues so far. I dropped the car off at 11 AM and by 2 PM the swapped engine was getting ready to go in, old one was out in less than an hour, and by 6:45 it was running.

The car will be done early tomorrow afternoon. These guys are AWESOME.

Photos coming next!

The engine was out in less than an hour after dropping the car off.

They cleaned up the engine bay and it looked new, this car was a good starting point for the swap.

Big reason to go with products that are known to work with the car / designed for it is the fitment is fantastic. It saves SO MUCH time which = money if you arent doing it yourself.

It was running by 6:45 PM and I drove it in at 11 AM

Hopefully this answers the question of "is the Aristo swap easy?" once and for all with a clear "yes, if you have everything you need". Kudos to the shop for not dragging their feet.

Damn. A post worth responding to! Did you provide everything or did they provide the parts? How much did it cost?

Default Drag International is the bomb

Hey guys just jumping in for those who don’t know them or their work. Yes their timing is just that 24-48 hrs in and out like a drive through. I personally have bought swaps from them before, popped my 1jzgte cherry with these guys. Got the full swap eng trans harness igniter intercooler piping everything even the engine mounts. That was for my Supra then recently got into a GS400 stopped by bought some jdm wheels, set of hid lamps. And they have all they need in stock, if you haven’t been your missing out. I had some pics but can’t find them but worth the trip!!!!

They had all parts in stock, I only provided the car. We coordinated to make sure everything was there that I wanted.

Out the door for a little under $8100 - I decided to go with a different exhaust so that came off the list.

They are road testing the car right now.

Thanks bro. Are you using the US or Japan motor? I know there’s a difference in hp between the two. What is the estimated hp? Beautiful installation

Wow, that's pretty impressive. Looks great! They have quite a few amazing Supra builds under their belts.

Here's one example
