Possible motor swap idea need advice

My 2gs devolped a slight knock unfortunately.. And i got sick pf trying to fix it and was wondering the possibility of dropping an 08 or 07 2gr fe in it. All helps appreciated

What year is your car and what are your goals? Have you thought of going with a 2JZ-GTE? As Im sure it would be much easier and cost effective, and the potential and reliability is amazing. Just my $.02.

As long as the oil is changed and maintenance it kept up, the 2jz series is one of the best motors in the world. I would not waste my time with anything else imo.
