Updated pictures of my 99 GS400
Finally got everything perfect with the car. Worked out all the suspension issues (pretty much all new everything up front), my Megan Coil-overs were shot and need to be rebuilt so I put on some Truhart coils for now and they are pretty good. I have had them on for 2 weeks and no rattles or noises at all. The ride is a little stiff but I like it. Will use them for a while till the others are rebuilt and these are junk. Looking at what wheels I want to get to finish it out.
Been searching and not sure what to do with the OEM touch screen. Like they all do, mine is white when its cold, then when it warms up you can see the screen buttons. Doesn't affect it working, just kind of annoying not being able to see the buttons. I have memorized where they are so I really dont need to see the screen! lol
Here is what I have done in the past year:
New starter
New alternator
Front outer tie rods
Front lower ball joints
Front lower radius arms
Steering rack bushings
Front upper control arm bushings
Motor Mounts
Fuel tank roll over valve
Rear tie rod ends
New radiator
4 New tires
New brakes front and rear
New Trucare coilovers ( 2 weeks old) with new alignment
Front and rear strut tower bars
Finally got around to cleaning the telescoping steering wheel! Moves smoothly and I dont feel like a semi truck driver with the wheel stuck up high.

Yeah, I miss my starions. The blue had 302 hp to the wheels, running a t3/t4 turbonetics ball bearing turbo, 3" exhaust, ACT 3 puck clutch with 1000 cc injectors. Was really fun.
FrankT, Yes I do all my own work. The only thing I had my mechanic do was the roll-over valve on the gas tank. Pretty much the whole rear had to come out just to drop the tank to get to that stupid $15 valve. Hardest thing was the starter. Stupidest place to put a starter on a car.

Beautiful work. My poor GS400 was horribly neglected. I bought her because it was the right thing to do... I'd love to restore her to her former glory, but I could buy two more for that cost.
Your car should serve you for decades.

Man... this thing is super clean. A black on black GS4 is a rare thing around here. Clean ones just don't exist. That interior looks flawless.
Great work man. I'm in the process of doing a lot of same work you did. How many miles you got on her?
