Default OEM Nav in a GS without NAV to being with?

i've got an 03 sportdesign gs3 that came with the standard radio + hvac. I have a chance to buy an 03 SD nav for cheap. I'd like to put it into my current GS just to retain the originality.

Will it work or do you guys know what else i'd have to buy?

If it's a massive hassle I'll walk away but just curious to know from you guys..

Really tempted to do this.

I looked into doing this on my 99 GS3. From what I found the nav system requires a completely different wiring harness that includes components installed in the trunk. Plus it is a CD based nav system that is out of date and can no longer be updated. A Garmin on the dash would do better than this old system designed in the 90s. I also prefer my hard hvac buttons as opposed to everything being in the touchscreen. In short, it's a tremendous amount of work for a sub-par system. Hope this helps.

Make sure that it has Mark Levinson if you car already has that. If not then your audio won't work
