Replace Hood Latch Cable

I know this is common. It’s my commuter car so I’ve just been tugging on it to release but it’s time to finally replace the cable. Does anybody have a write up or video on replacing the cable? It seems simple but with the firewall just want to make sure I’m not getting myself into a headache. Thanks

I followed this a while ago and the biggest pain is feeding the cable through the firewall but the rest is easy. I used an old coat hanger that I attached the cable to so I could get it through the firewall. You will need 2 people to do this part. Also take off your grille before you close the hood for the first time. I didn't have an issue but as others have said, if you do its a lot easier to open the hood when the grille isn't blocking the latch.
